Do you need to drink coffee to wake up? Unfortunately, it is called an addiction. And just like other addictions, your body can develop a tolerance to the effects of caffeine over time. Here are some foods that will cause unwanted bouts of sleepiness.
Coffee
Although caffeine is a stimulant, your body can develop a tolerance to it. This means that its effects decrease in time, especially depending overreacting to everyday drink coffee. Or reduce your intake of coffee to one cup a day or replace it with green tea.
Bananas
Bananas are a great snack before or after training, or if you do not plan train, they can actually cause a mild bout of fatigue due to high levels of magnesium. Magnesium relaxes the muscles, which is perfect when you want to take a nap, but less ideal when you have a ton of things to do during the day.
White bread
White bread is another culprit for daily lows energy. He has a high glycemic index, which means that first, you get a sudden burst of energy, but followed by an even faster drop. I would rather eat bread from whole grains.
Cherries
Cherries contain a lot of melatonin, which signals your brain that it’s time for sleep. Best to be consumed as a healthy dessert after dinner, in order to avoid any unwanted downs in energy throughout the day.
Carbonated drinks
The consumption of sweet carbonated beverages during the day will have the same effect on your body as well as white bread. The first will give you energy, but then there will be a sharp drop and you will be more tired than before.
